Welcome to Fantasy Chat. We are a privately owned and operated audio chat site with the goal of providing a home on the web where our users can enjoy themselves while feeling comfortable and safe at all times. With this in mind, please read and adhere to the site policies given below.

Notice

Fantasy Chat is a members only site offering membership to the general public on an individual basis. However, Fantasy Chat does reserve the right to refuse membership to any person at any time.


In addition, Fantasy Chat may exercise its right to inact revocation of membership with no refund of any type for violation of any of the below mentioned policies, or for any other reason in which suspension or banishment is deemed necessary or justified by Fantasy Chat management.

Site Policies

Profanity

Fantasy Chat's membership is made up from the general public, and therefore is open to all ages. Please recognize and remember that all rooms on this site are rated PG unless designated otherwise. Mild profanity will be considered acceptable in all PG rated rooms on this site.
However, excessive profanity, obscenity or sexually explicit activities or language in any form will not be tolerated on the Fantasy Chat system.


Please be aware that we are not the U. S. Supreme Court. Fantasy Chat's management has no problem whatsoever in defining profanity or obscenity, or the meaning of excessive. and in fact, profanity, obscenity, and the level of either will be defined exclusively by Fantasy management on a case by case basis.

Minors

Please remember that Fantasy Chat is a PG rated site, and that Our membership may be comprised of all ages. neither Fantasy Ltd, its subsidiaries or associates will be responsible for persons under the age of 18 being present during any activity which might take place on Fantasy Chat. PG stands for parental guidance. The actions of a minor are the sole responsibility of their parent or gardian, and Fantasy Chat will in no way act to countrol or restrict attendance by persons under 18 years old due to their age.

Prohibitions

Abuse

Abuse of any type whatsoever, while on the Fantasy Chat site will meet with a zero tolerance. Abuse may include but, not be limited to; harrassment of any type including sexual harrassment, on line stalking, slander, defimation of character, threats made or implied upon any person or group of people, spamming in chat rooms, or any other type of abuse, verbal or otherwise.
In addition habitual trouble making or any other action which might infringe upon the rights of other Fantasy Chat users to enjoy their time on the Fantasy Chat site will not be tolerated.

NOTE!

If you are a victim of any form of abuse while on Fantasy Chat please notify one of our site administrators.
Your complaint will meet with immediate response from The Fantasy Team, and after an investigation by our staff measures will be taken to resolve the situation.

!NOTE!

In regard to sexual harrassment, when somebody says no, they mean no. Abuse of this nature will meet with swift and permanent consequence.

Illegal Activities

Absolutely no activity which would be considered in conflict with the laws of the state of Texas, or those of the United States of America will in any way be condoned or tolerated on the Fantasy Chat site.

Illegal activities might include, but are in no way limited to the following:

The illegal sale or distribution of drugs, controlled substances, or any other item or items.

Theft of copyrighted material

Any individual who acts to distribute or recieve any type of material which is copyrighted by any person or persons other than themselves or the other party involved, or that they have not been given the legal right to distribute by the copyright holder, will be considered guilty of copyright infringement.

Theft of copyright, or copyright infringement includes software piracy, piracy of audio media, piracy of literary works or piracy of any other material which is copyrighted under current U. S. copyright law.

In addition discussion of file sharing or any other type of copyright infringement for the purpose of arranging to transfer or share otherwise copyrighted material will be considered conspiracy to infringe upon copyright, and may at any time result in revocation of membership.

Participation

If a user fails to respond to a welcome, or if they fail to respond at any time to subsequent attempts to interact they may be booted from the room after a reasonable amount of time. "A reasonable amount of time" is a relative term, and is relative to the situation. In some cases 2 minutes could exceed a reasonable amount of time, while in othersituations 30 minutes may not.

While lack of participation is both inconsiderate and impolite, there are several reasons that we have implemented this policy including site security and waste of bandwidth but, the most important is to provide you, the user with a site and atmosphere where you are not subjected to rudeness. A site where you can feel both comfortable and safe. For this reason participation is mandated.

Please help us by logging out of a room when you are going to be away from your keyboard for an extended period of time. This will not only be the polite thing to do, it will also conserve valuable bandwidth, and it could help keep you from getting the boot.

In addition, Fantasy Chat is an audio chat or voice chat system. Microphones are required on our site, and at any time a Fantasy Chat staff member could request that you speak on your microphone. Failure to do so upon request could result in revocation of membership.

NOTICE

Please understand that this site is owned and operated by blind or visually impaired individuals. Blind users have screen reader functions that are supplied with the chat software, and can be found in the help pulldown under Accessibility. These screen reader functions are limited in their range of maximum volume. As users of this site you will be required to keep any audio output produced by your system below the screen reader's audio level. If a moderator or site administrator ask you to turn your audio down, you must comply. A User whose audio is too high will be asked to lower their volume 2 times, after which more severe action may be taken to control the problem.
Chronic abuse of this policy could result in revocation of membership.

Technical Assistance

Fantasy staff shall attempt to render technical assistance whenever technical assistance is needed by its members as long as that assistance is directly related to the use of the Fantasy Chat software. Fantasy staff members shall not be in any way compelled by Fantasy Chat to render or attempt to render assistance on any matter which is not directly related to the use of the Fantasy Chat (talking communities) software.
Though assistance may be requested or offered by any Fantasy Chat user, on any matter, assistance or the results of such assistance will in no way be the responsibility of Fantasy Chat, its' management or staff.
It should also be noted that Fantasy Chat members not only receive but, give technical assistance at their own risk. Any Fantasy Chat member who renders assistance while on this site will be liable for repremand should their assistance or advice be determined to have been destructive to another members equipment. Repeated advice or assistance of this nature could be deemed suitable cause for revocation of membership.

In addition, all technical assistance of any type, whether offered officially or unofficially will take place in, and be restricted and confined to "tech" rooms.

Privacy Policy

Fantasy Chat, it's management or staff will never give away your personal information to any third party.

Neither Fantasy Chat, its management nor staff will be in any way liable for damages or losses of any type to hardware or software, including but, not limited to loss of data, productivity or monetary loss through the use of the Fantasy Chat system, or services of any type which are offered or available on Fantasy Chat.
